          Catalogue Note

Only in production from 1965 to 1969, the Rolex reference 6241 were made in a very limited quantity of approximately 2700 pieces and only a very limited numbers of them were fitted with a 'Paul Newman' dial. To the best of our knowledge, the majority of 6241 made in stainless steel case, where 400 pieces were made in 14k yellow gold and 300 pieces were made in 18k yellow gold.

The present watch is a very attractive example of the Paul Newman reference 6241. Furthermore, the lume plots are all aged consistently and are uniform in size. The numbers between the lugs are very crisp and easy to read making this reference 6241 a very appealing and original example.
